Since mainstream app-based services like Uber/Ola do not operate in Kashmir, local taxis are your primary option. A taxi ride will cost roughly ₹600–₹800. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly route, you can take a taxi to the nearby Humhama Chowk and then look for shared transport heading toward Rangreth.

Railway Station

  • Srinagar Railway Station (Nowgam): Srinagar Railway Station (Nowgam) is the closest, located just 6–7 km from the center. Note: This station connects to Baramulla and Banihal; it does not yet have a direct broad-gauge link to mainland India (the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla link is under completion).
  • How to reach: If you arrive via the Banihal-Srinagar rail link, deboard at Srinagar (Nowgam) station. From there, you can hire a private auto-rickshaw or a taxi to Rangreth for approximately ₹250–₹400. Shared Sumos are also available from the station gate to the Sanat Nagar/Rangreth route. Tell the driver: "Rangreth Industrial Estate, Millennium Infotech jana hai."

  • Bus routes: Local minibuses and shared Sumos ply regularly from the Lal Chowk or Batamaloo areas towards Rangreth. Look for vehicles labeled "Rangreth" or "SIDCO." The fare for a shared Sumo is very economical, usually between ₹30 and ₹50.

  • Apps-based services: While global apps are absent, local transport is very accessible through traditional means and local booking apps like Jugnoo or Novo (if active). From Railway Station to Center: Private taxis and autos are available at the station stand 24/7. The only issue I faced was that the exam centre was a little difficult to locate initially. If you are visiting for an exam, I would strongly recommend using Google Maps for convenience and to avoid any last-minute confusion while searching for the exact building.

I had my exams here previous week. The staff is very coperative and friendly. They had place to keep my bag. Washrooms were clean, Clean drinking water was available and the centre was quite accessible too.
The computers were a little messy and noisy but that's what we get usually.
Overall it was a great time compared to other centres conducting similar exams in the vicinity.

CBT exam centre located at Rangreth Srinagar, with good infrastructure and qualified staff. From Sanathnagar chowk it takes only 7 to 10 minutes to reach this centre by car. From main road rangreth it takes some 5 minutes by foot. At sanathnagar chowk you can either wait tavera or sumo coming from lalchok else auto service is also available in the chowk.
